Big Weather puts the weather in your Mac's menu bar, and the days ahead in one curve you can read at a glance.
Big Weather is a menu bar weather app for the Mac. The temperature sits in the menu bar, and one click opens the days ahead as a single curve of temperature and rain, with UV, wind and a ten-day list beside it. Premium adds AI insights, written on the Mac by Apple Intelligence, and official weather warnings.
Big Weather puts the weather in the Mac's menu bar. The temperature is always in view, and one click opens the forecast as one curve of temperature and rain that you can run your cursor along, hour by hour, with UV, wind, pressure and the days ahead beside it. If you'd rather have numbers, a plain text layout is a setting away.
Version 5.0 adds two things to Premium. AI insights put a few words about the day in the menu bar (“Heavy rain from 4PM”) and sum up the week in the panel. Apple Intelligence writes them on the Mac itself, so the user's location never goes to an AI service. Official weather warnings from the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe appear word for word, with a marker on each day they cover.
Big Weather is free on the Mac App Store. Premium is $1.99 a month or $9.99 a year, both with a one-month free trial, or $29.99 once. It's made by Urtti Apps Oy in Kuopio, Finland.

The story
Tommi Urtti started Big Weather while living in California, still trying to get a feel for Fahrenheit. He couldn't find a menu bar app that showed Fahrenheit and Celsius side by side, so he made one.
Big Weather is made by Urtti Apps Oy, a limited company registered in Finland and run by Tommi from Kuopio.
